This track really is a one off. Sounded so strange on Robbie V's show back in 1983. I bought the album wondering whether I would lose any credibility as a Soul fan, because this track is so unique. It is an easy tune to ridicule, as folks sit up with a start, when they hear it for the first time. It sounds as if a child could have recorded the music, however, there is discipline within the grooves. Not many folks picked up the album, thus, some copies are still floating around. The 1983 price tag is still on my copy of this album. £15.99. Allowing for inflation, I must have spent a weeks wages, just for one track, which I could pick up today for half that asking price! A great track it is, however, so, worth every penny. Naoya Matsuoaka is a Japanese jazz pianist and arranger, by the way.
