The keynote lecture by Rashid Khalidi at Edge Hill University's student-led conference to mark the 25th anniversary of his landmark work, 'Palestinian Identity'. Run by Edge Hill History students as part of their class, 'Seeds of Conflict in the Holy Land', taught by Professor James Renton.
Professor Khalidi is the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University, USA. He was advisor to the Palestinian delegation to the Madrid and Washington Arab-Israeli peace negotiations from October 1991 until June 1993, an experience upon which he reflects in this lecture.
