If this video helps you can buy @fixed1t a coffee [ Ссылка ]. Thx. Transposing samples on the MC-808 can be as simple as playing the sample using a higher or lower keyboard key than the original key the sample is assigned too.
Samplers such a the Roland MV8000 or MV8800 allow you to transpose pitch without changing the sample length. I was surprised to discover that the MC-808 had a similar feature.
This video gives a quick demonstration of transposing samples on the Roland MC-808 using the keyboard (which changes the length) and using the Autosync button, which allows you to transpose the pitch of a sample without changing its length.
In order to do this properly you need to know the tempo of the sample.
