Bhadrakali Temple of Warangal, Telangana was built by Chalunkya King Pulakeshi II built in the year 625 CE after defeat of Harshavardhana king of Vengi kingdom.
After Chalukya's Rule, this temple was Adopted by Kakatiya Rulers.
Goddess Bhadrakali was the Kula Devatha of Kakatiya Ruler.
After the attack of Alauddin Khilji, Kakatiya Rulers, Bhadrakali Temple was closed for 640 years. And the temple got re-opened in 1950.
Unlike other temples, Goddess Bhadrakali is facing West which is something special. Every year 4 Navaratri eventsa are celebrated in this temple various seasons.Shakambhari celebrations are something unique in this temple
