Canada is leading the charge to an end-to-end electric vehicle battery supply chain! EVs will play a large role in reducing emissions and the future of transportation, with many countries pledging to reach net-zero by 2050. In Canada, that transition is already underway.
Canada is ready to assume leadership across all 5 segments of the EV battery supply chain: mining and mineral processing; cathode and anode manufacturing, and chemical precursors; battery manufacturing; electric vehicle manufacturing and parts supply; and battery recycling.
How? The country has a skilled workforce, incredible manufacturing capability, a vibrant ecosystem of nearly 700 parts suppliers, and reserves of all the critical minerals required to manufacture EV batteries, like cobalt and lithium.
This discussion features leading experts in the electric vehicle industry: Flavio Volpe, President of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) of Canada and Nino Di Cara, Founder and President, Electric Autonomy Canada.
