What Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone JUST DID We've NEVER Seen Something Like It || Women’s 400m Hurdles U.S. Olympic Trials 2024
If there is a female athlete who has remained consistent and dominant in the world of track and field, then it must be America’s queen of hurdles Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. Ever since McLaughlin-Levrone got defeated by Rio Olympic gold medalist Dalilah Muhammad in the 400 hurdles at the 2019 World Championships, she swore never to take defeat again in this discipline. About five years have gone by, and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has remained unbeatable in the 400-meter hurdles. She has consistently been breaking records and improving on her world records without stopping. In 2021 she broke the world record twice… At the 2021 U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials McLaughlin-Levrone dethroned Dalilah Muhammad to clock a world record of 51.90 seconds. She went on to lower her world record mark to 51.46 seconds at the finals of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. As if that was not enough, McLaughlin-Levrone proceeded to break the world record twice again in 2022 at the National championships and at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where she shocked the world with a new world record of 50.68 seconds.
