(24 May 2017) Anyone who's anyone walked the red carpet in Cannes Tuesday as the festival celebrated its 70th anniversary.
Highlights of the red carpet included jury member Jessica Chastain in an orange satin floor-length gown by Armani Privé. The actress was helped with the train as she climbed the stairs, and posed alongside fellow jury member Will Smith, who danced along to his hit "Getting Jiggy with it."
Model and L'Oreal ambassador Barbara Palvin also wore an Armani Privé gown, black strapless and sequinned in style. Elle Fanning walked the carpet again wearing a prom-inspired gown by Dior, with spaghetti straps and a tulle skirt. The fashion house describes the dress as having Impressionist garden-effect feather embroidery, and Fanning also wore jewelery by the brand.
Also wearing Dior was Charlize Theron, whose black tulle and lace dress was complimented by Chopard jewellery, including diamond earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a diamond ring. Tilda Swinton also chose black, wearing a sequinned Chanel jumpsuit.
The real highlight of the carpet came when Naomi Campbell posed alongside Nicole Kidman. Campbell wore Versace with lace overlay and feather train, while Kidman wore a strappy embroidered Armani Privé gown, and the pair embraced each other and held hands, as well as posing for photographers.
