Presented by Brisbane City Council with broadcast partner Channel 9 and charity partner Children’s Hospital Foundation, it's time to ring in some festive joy with Brisbane's premier Christmas celebration, the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols.
Featuring some of Queensland’s most renowned singers, entertainers and celebrities, this magical celebration of Christmas took place at Brisbane Riverstage on Saturday 5 December 2020.
Hosted by Channel 9’s Getaway and original member of children’s group Hi5, Charli Robinson, the artist line-up includes, pop diva Dami Im, star of Disney’s smash-hit musical Aladdin Graeme Isaako, from André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra –leading soprano Mirusia, Opera Australia tenor Bradley Daley, soul – gospel sensation Angela Fabian, Opera Queensland artists Milijana Nikolic and Rebecca Cassidy, popular tenor trio La Forza, Australia’s most beautiful voices The 7 Sopranos, guitar wizard Jason McGreggor, AFL Grand Final national anthem singer Tim McCallum, soul-rock fusion band Sunflower, Australian Celtic Music Award winners Murphy’s Pigs and Queensland’s The Voice Australia finalists Luke Antony, Ellen Reed and Zeek Power.
The concert features a symphony orchestra directed and conducted by the internationally renowned conductor Dane Lam (Principal conductor of China’s Xi’an Symphony Orchestra) alongside guest ensembles: Brisbane City Gospel Choir, Voices of Birralee – Youth Choir, Vocal Manoeuvres Carols Choir and the Carols Dancers.
