UK: Labour figure Tony Benn's funeral held in central London
The funeral service for former Labour MP Tony Benn was held late Thursday morning at St. Margaret's Church across from the Houses of Parliament in London. His body was brought from Westminster Chapel of St. Mary Undercroft to the church, where hundreds of anti-war, socialist and trade unionist activists gathered to pay tribute to the Labour politician.
Among those who attended the funeral service were former London mayor Ken Livingstone, Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams and Labour leader Ed Miliband.
Benn passed away at the age of 88 on March 14.
