Learn how to prepare a basic lunch sambar made by small onion,Drumstick and brinjal on saranya veetu samayal.Very easy to prepare.It will take
just 20mints to prepare . Super home made sambar.Try it.
Ingredients:
1.Toor dal(Thuvaram paruppu) - 75g
2.small onion-10 nos
3.Tomato -2
4.Brinjal - 4 to 5 nos
5.Drumstick - 1
6.tamarind pulp-amla size
7.Curry leaves
8.Coriander leaves
9.Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
10.assfotida-1 tsp
11.Mustard Seeds - 1/2tsp
12.Sambar powder - 1.5tsp
13.salt
14.Oil - 3tsp
15.castor oil-1 tsp
16.Green chilli-1 nos
Steps:
1.In a cooker add toor dal,castor oil,turmeric powder and cook for 3 whistle.
2.Add onion, tomatoes,green chilli, drumstick and brinjal,sambar powder, salt.Add tamarind pulp, cook for 1 whistle.
3.In a spoon of oil fry mustard seeds,assafotida, curry leaf and add it to sambar. Add coriander leaf.
4.Sambar is Ready to serve.
