Source video: "Oculus Rift - My First Trip into Tuscany" by wyldeman7. To enable YouTube 3D in videos recorded as a direct feed from the Oculus Rift Dev Kit or via FRAPS, add the following tags when uploading:
For a tight 16:9 crop, use these tags:
yt3d:enable=true, yt3d:aspect=16:9, yt3d:left=0_0.2778_0.5_0.8333, yt3d:right=0.5_0.2778_1_0.8333
These seem to be the best settings for watching on 3DTVs or with red/blue glasses since it fills the screen, plus you can disable 3D.
This will allow people to view the video on 3DTVs, by crossing their eyes, or with red/blue 3D glasses, or disable 3D entirely, using YouTube's built-in 3D controls, with no extra video editing work for the uploader. Record straight off the Rift's screen, upload, add tags, done.
For full fiend of view (shown here) (more disorienting to watch, wastes screen space) use these tags:
yt3d:enable=true, yt3d:aspect=4:5, yt3d:swap=true
This is a bit harder to see the 3D effect since the image is smaller and more distorted.
