This is a quick mic comparison test to show you how the VidPro XM-55 stands up against a few other mics that I have. Unfortunately the Tascam recorder I have, DR-05, does not have XLR inputs so I had to do all my testing with going through the 3.5mm input. Like I mentioned in the video once I get a recorder that has proper XLR inputs I will be redoing this test and putting the VidPro XM-55 up against a Rode NTG-2 and possibly a Sennheiser mic. For the test I had the Tascam input turned down to 19 dbu across the board for all three mics. The Tascam can be adjusted up or down some depending on the mic you are using and what you are trying to accomplish.
