Brake lines are tricky, if you put an American standard 3eights 24 thread brake fitting onto your car if feels like it fits. But if you know what you’re looking for you’ll actually noticed that all the wood screws in the shakes. This is not good. If you put in a 10 mm 1.0 pitch if feels tight, maybe too tight but it’s not. Obviously it has to glide and smooth, but you’ll notice in the video there’s a big difference in choosing the right fitting for your brake job. I wish that the threads were not so close because this really confuses a lot of people into thinking that they’ve got the right thread. Even if you put the thread against a light and look in between you’ll still see that the threads look very similar. Until you compare the real McCoy it’s difficult to know the difference.I can’t stress how important it is to get the right fitting and even with experience you have to be on your toes. Hope you found this video useful
