I searched the internet looking for a way to varnish my paintings without leaving brush strokes on them.
I came across a YouTube video that Roy Laws Art published and after watching it, I knew that that was how I wanted to varnish my paintings.
Not only does this technique leave no brush strokes after you have finished varnishing, but it is incredibly quick, and another bonus, your not wasting varnish like I have seen on some videos.
All you need is some paper towels, water, a sponge (I use a car washing one) and your varnish. In this video I am using Liquitex Satin Varnish.
Please Note: Liquitex Varnish dries quickly, so if you miss a bit, get it on your second coat, otherwise it could go cloudy.
