Hello everyone and thank you for watching this PlanesWeekly video!
This time we take you back to a time where the MD-80 was still in service with Delta. The video was shot back in 2018 and was our last flight on the Delta MD-80, sadly. The MadDog was a workhorse for the Delta fleet and it is sad to see that it has now been retired. On June 2nd 2020, the last MD-88 took off for the final time, as it flew the ever-busy Washington Dulles to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The Covid19 pandemic has certainly assisted in retiring some of the most iconic planes in the world. This is unfortunately yet another victim of this crisis.
The flight shown here was a scheduled passenger flight from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson to Chicago O'hare. We are sad that this plane is now history with Delta.
Hopefully, we'll be able to give you more content from the beautiful MD-80!
Safe and happy flying!
