I have owned many "all rounder" motorcycles - but never a VFR. I recently changed that, picking up my first ever Interceptor - a 1999 5th gen VFR800. This is the story of that first few hundred miles on that bike, as I try to discover what's behind the cult-like love for the VFR800i (interceptor) all these years after it was introduced.
