Holy crap! These are the places in Texas that are CRAZY dangerous!

Texas isn’t the most dangerous state overall, but it’s up there. According to the latest numbers put out by the FBI, it’s the 12th most dangerous state of all, when you take into account the number of robberies, assaults, shootings, murders and other crimes per capita. There’s a lot of places in Texas where you could chill out and never be bothered but in many parts of this state, you gotta watch your back. And apparently, your bag of Whataburgers.

To determine how dangerous each place in Texas is, we just had to look at how many crimes happened in each city, and see what your chances of being a victim are. Some of the places we’ll talk about are really small, but have a LOT of crime. A few of the cities we’ll visit will not be surprising. Aww Texas. One of our fastest growing states of all. High crime in many areas certainly isn’t enough to deter people from flocking here in droves. Going back 10 years ago, Texas was 21st in the nation for murders. Today, it’s exactly average - ranking 25th for murders per capita. So it’s less murderous here these days, although, property crimes and assaults have definitely gone up in this state. Especially in places like Houston and Dallas.
