Texas, USA is in chaos! Storm, giant hail up to 5 inches in size, destroying houses and vehicles
The Dallas-Fort Worth area experienced storms early Tuesday, with downed trees, damaging hail, and widespread havoc. Local media showed videos of golf ball-sized hail in the Oak Cliff neighborhood, damaging vehicles. Strong winds also pushed an American Airlines plane away from a gate at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. In Hurst, a hailstorm tore through the roof of a Walmart, forcing shoppers to seek shelter.
In Frisco, lightning struck two neighboring houses on Tuesday, causing severe damage to one and moderate damage to the other, although fortunately, there were no casualties. The Tuesday storms in North Texas occurred just days after a system killed at least seven people in nearby Cook County during the holiday weekend. National Weather Service offices in Kentucky and Arkansas sent teams to inspect the remnants of the deadly holiday storms, finding damage consistent with EF3 tornadoes with winds up to 165 mph.
