Sometimes, I don’t always get to use my ginger while it’s fresh. So, I make these super easy ginger cubes. If I leave the skin on the ginger, I make sure I clean it.
I chopped about 15 oz of ginger and added roughly 4 oz of spring water in the blender.
Blend until smooth then strain. You can do this with a juicer if you have one.
Pour into ice cube molds and freeze. You can pop 2-3 in your next smoothie!
Now, to make the ginger powder. Take the ginger pulp, put in on a parchment lined cooking tray, and sit it in the oven on 170 degrees for 3-5 hours. This will dry out or dehydrate the ginger. You can either add it to a blender or a coffee bean grinder and blend until it turns into a fine powder.
You get a 2 for 1!
