Good Charlotte is an American pop punk band that formed in 1996 in Waldorf, Maryland. The group consists of lead singer - Joel Madden, lead guitarist and backing vocalist - Benji Madden, bassist - Paul Thomas, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist - Billy Martin, and drummer - Dean Butterworth (since 2005). Their debut studio album, "Good Charlotte" released in 2000 and was the beginning of the band's music career. The album contained three singles, "Little Things" "Motivation Proclamation" and "Festival Song." After 2011, the band took a four year long hiatus, but in 2015 they returned with the single, "Makeshift" and then with the album, "Youth Authority" in 2016.
