In this video I show you how I got Own Tempo Rockruff in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. I put a Pokémon with the ability "Intimidate" in the first spot in my party, as the "Own Tempo" ability won't allow the Pokémon to have it's Attack stat lowered... and you can see that the Rockruff has Own Tempo. I walked around for 1-2 hours in the hills of the West Province Area One and finally found one. I suspect that time of day could matter, but either way it seems incredibly rare, yet possible, to encounter a Rockruff with Own Tempo in the wild. I will make another guide on how to evolve Own Tempo Rockruff into Dusk Form Lycanroc in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet later.

What is special about the Own Tempo Rockruff is that it is the ONLY Rockruff that can evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc, and it will ONLY evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc. You will need a Rockruff with Vital Spirit or Keen Eye to evolve it into the two other Lycanroc forms.
