The Mario Kart series is one of the most iconic of all time, one of the few series that is universal; we've all played Mario Kart no matter which episode it was, and we've all understood, controller in hand, that these games are special, that they have a different aura from others, that they make us feel a whole range of emotions in just a few seconds. Mario Kart games are very exotic and different from what we can find elsewhere, and yet, it's one of the few series to have successfully crossed the ages without ever disguising itself and to have achieved success with each episode. Today, in celebration of the series recently celebrated 30th anniversary, we look back on each installment of the main series, tracing their development, the context of the time, with an analysis of each game and how they have managed to evolve and adapt to their era each time, becoming one of the most beloved game series.
