Since the late 1970s, more people began to join the Solidarity movement. More people began to stand up against the Communism put in force - people demanded change. But that failed. So did the Polish political system. On the 13 December 1981, Wojciech Jaruzelski of Poland put in place Martial Law - taking over the country, enforcing a harsh system and isolating the country from every side.
