Bench-testing an alternative method of powering the WeBoost Drive Reach RV in preparation for the installation in our van. The unit came with only an AC adapter, which would be inefficient to use in our off-grid van. A DC adapter is available, but it’s fairly pricey. I test a DC powerbank that I purchased for a different use, which is no longer needed.
The power bank I'm using is a 32000 Ah PowerAdd Pilot Pro (now discontinued). It should be possible to use a USB-C to 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel connector cable with any power bank that has 12 volt output and USB-C output ports. I intend to test this with one of my USB-C power banks and this cable: Vienon 5ft USB C to DC 5.5mm x 2.1mm Power Charging Cord for Laptop (5521) - [ Ссылка ]
I'll be installing the booster over the winter to be ready for our spring trip in April. I'll be posting one or more videos of the installation.
