If a light, tight offset with 50s futurism leanings is your thing, the Meteora HH might well be for you. Fireball humbuckers are one of the main features - they're big, wide and clear and can be coil-split with the S1 switch built into the volume knob. The 2-point trem does its job well and the guitar's great stability is supplemented by a set of Fender locking machines. The neck is a modern 'C' profile complete with medium-jumbo frets on a 12" radius fingerboard, so we're talking about a low action that lends itself to big, no-choke bends thanks to the relatively flat radius. The Meteora HH shipped with 9-46 gauge strings; I would probably throw some 10s on it for a bit more fight. The Player Plus Meteora HH ships with a deluxe gig bag and at the time of writing is available in four colours. Rock on.
