The project design by Arquitectonica for the Continuum Master at South Beach is a collaborative effort of the owner, contractor, architect and engineers in the design of the project. AEO, as the Association Representative and June Willcott, PEI, as the Special Engineer, followed through with the Contractor, CPR, to establish many of the fine details that were incorporated into the project. Most of the design elements that have recently been completed for the entry portion of the project, titled the “Arrival Experience” will be continued throughout to the beach front design of the property with many similar elements. Overall it has depicted the Continuum as a more refreshing and contemporary property.
This project was done using Cumaru milled in the tongue and groove V joint form. This tropical hardwood. Cumaru is the second strongest hardwood after Ipe and is perfect for outdoor constructions. Cumaru has an A1 fire rating, resists scratches and splinters, and doesn’t get hot in the sun
