There are only so many kinds of stories that can be told, but there’s a difference between sharing some similarities with another story and just ripping it off wholesale. Some filmmakers have leaned more towards the latter and stolen entire plots from other movies, either intentionally or subconsciously.

Maybe the setting is different, or maybe the original film is so obscure that they didn't think anyone would notice, but these famous films didn’t just come out of thin air.
