these melds allows you to reduce your materials needed from 4/3 hq mats down to 3 and 2 respectively 3 for tools body and legs and 2 for head hands and feet. i wont be melding my tools untill i see the new battle gear in 6.2 just incase i need tweaking. rotation remains the same so nothing else is needed. hopefully this helps and goodluck if you plan on selling gear in the future.
