The spirit of hope, perseverance, and community came alive at LCS as students, teachers, and staff united for a meaningful cause. The school played host to a Terry Fox Run on Saturday, September 16 by bringing together students in Grades 9 to 11 to honour the legacy of Canadian hero, Terry Fox, and raise funds for cancer research.
Participants set out to run or walk as many laps of the 1.7 km loop as possible within a 45-minute time frame to accrue points for their respective paper houses. Remarkably, the combined efforts of Grades 9 to 11 resulted in an astounding total of over 600 laps completed!
