In this episode, following the opening of the new Whitechapel Station occasioned by the Crossrail project on 23rd August 2021, Edward Stow inspects the surroundings area, the new station and any on going building works to see how they have affected the crime scene, where Polly Nichols was brutally murdered, on what was then called Buck's Row, on 31st August 1888.
Poignantly, this visit took place on Polly's birthday, 26th August, and just five days before the anniversary of her murder.
