Nine-time world champion in the classic rally Sebastien Loeb became the winner of the penultimate, 13th stage of the Dakar rally-raid, which takes place in Saudi Arabia.
The Frenchman for the Hunter BRX-Prodrive team won the marathon's sixth consecutive off-road event, a new Dakar record.
Loeb broke the record of Finn Ari Vatanen. In 1989, he won five stages in a row.
Nevertheless, in the overall standings, Loeb takes only second place, losing 1 hour and 21 minutes to the Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah.
