National Students Union of India (NSUI) members stormed the National Testing Agency (NTA) office on Thursday seeking an overhaul of the agency amid the NEET paper leak controversies. Earlier in the day, the Indian Youth Congress and Left student organizations, including the AISA, KYS, BsCEM, and DISHA, staged a protest at Jantar Mantar over alleged exam irregularities. Protesters began an indefinite strike, demanding the dissolution of the NTA and calling for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Later, the police intervened to halt the protests, detaining many students.
Meanwhile, a day after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), his wife Sunita hit out at the Centre, saying that “the dictator should be destroyed”. “Till now the prayer has always been that God should give wisdom to everyone. But now the prayer will be that the dictator should be destroyed,” she wrote via a post on X.
