The Chenab Rail Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir, India was designed as a single-track bridge after considering aesthetics, economy, and the availability of local materials and expertise. The bridge is 1,315 meters long, with a 467 meter arch span and a height of 359 meters above the riverbed, making it the world's highest railway bridge
