This has been a very common question lately. So why is the lawn yellow?
There can be many many answers to this question. For this specific video, I focus on the turf coming out of dormancy from winter into spring. Some of the tips of the grass turns yellow due to frost and prolonged cold temperatures. The best way to recover a lawn that has yellow tips is to give your lawn a nice application of fertilizer. I suggest getting a soil test. But you can also apply .5-1lb of nitrogen (which promotes roots and shoot growth). After a couple days or weeks, and a couple of mows, you will be able to cut that yellow color off, and you'll begin to see a nice, healthy green turf.
So don't stress too much coming out of winter and seeing a yellow lawn. It will grow out and get mowed off.
There are other causes as well, heat stress, lack of nutrients, fungus etc. I will touch on those issues later. Be sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and follow along!
