Our World From Space is a two-year national space science project created by ASDC, running in 22 science and discovery centres and museums around the UK. Throughout 2023-'24, the programme aims to engage with 300,000 individual participants from families, schools and community groups. Activities including interactive workshops, planetarium shows, ‘meet the scientist’ events, pop-up science shows, and STEM career days are being run to engage audiences on the relevance of space science for the future health and sustainability of our planet. Topics include satellite-enabled Earth Observation science, geoinformation and the UK expertise that contributes to the understanding of and solutions for climate, clean air, land, oceans, and biodiversity.
This interim showreel highlights just a few of the projects being run by the UK's science centres and museums, working with families, community groups and school children nurturing the next generation of innovators and stewards of our planet.
Over 92,000 participants have engaged with Our World From Space across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales from July 2023 to March 2024.
