Alicante SPAIN -- San Juan BEACH 2022 4K VIEW SPAIN BEACH WALK Playa de San Juan or San Juan Playa is a beach located in the municipality of the Spanish city of Alicante. This beach is one of the best known in the capital of Alicante. It is also the name of a residential neighbourhood located just behind and in its vicinity. On this coastline there is a single 6200 m long beach, formerly known as Platja de l'Horta, but which is administratively divided in two. The Alicante part mentioned above, 2900 m long, and the part of the annexed municipality of Campello with the remaining 3300 m, which is called Playa de Muchavista. This toponym is derived from an old carabinieri hut that used to be in this area and was known as the "Casilla de Mucha Vista".

This sandy area is situated about seven kilometres northeast of the city centre. The entire beach stretches from Cabo de la Huerta, at its southern end, to Rincón de la Zofra in the north, in the municipality of Campello.
