Ingredients to marinate the chicken (Serve 2-3 people)
- 1 lb chicken thigh, cut into 1.5 inches cubes
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce [ Ссылка ]
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/8 tsp of baking soda
- 1 whole egg
- 1 cup of Potato starch (use it to coat the chicken) [ Ссылка ]
Ingredients for the sauce
-2 tbsp of sesame oil [ Ссылка ]
-1 tsp ginger garlic paste
-1 tbsp rice vinegar
-1 tsp red crushed chili [ Ссылка ]
-1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp of Honey [ Ссылка ]
- 2 tbsp sweet and sour sauce
- 3 tbsp of Soy sauce [ Ссылка ]
- 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp sesame seeds [ Ссылка ]
- Sweet potato starch water to thicken the sauce
- 1 tsp of toasted sesame seeds for garnish
INSTRUCTION
- Cut some boneless chicken leg into 1.5-inch size pieces. It gives you a juicer and tender result. And yes, you can use chicken breast if you wish to.
1. In a mixing bowl adegge1 large egg, soy sauce, salt, some black pepper to taste, baking soda. Mix everything until well-combined .add in the chicken piece, Cover it and let it sit for 30 minutes.
2. in a Tupperware Add half of the starch. Spread it out. Add in the chicken pieces one by one, do not dump the chicken at once it will stick together, Cover the meat with the other half of the starch. Put on the lid and shake for a few minutes. All the chicken pieces should be evenly coated. Pick out the meat and shake off all the excess starch.
3. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350, Arrange the chicken pieces followed by the cooking spray cook it for 8 minutes flip the pan or basket in between at 4-minute mark. Do it in batches if you need to.
4. once it reaches that beautiful golden color. Take them out and set it aside.
5. Next, make the sauce. In a skillet or pan add sesame oil, ginger garlic paste, red crushed chillis rice vinegar sweet and sour sauce, honey, sesame seeds, soy sauce, and tomato ketchup. Mix everything all together.
6. Bring it to a boil and pour in some potato starch dissolved in water to thicken the sauce. Keep stirring until it reaches a thick texture. Add the chicken into the skillet, along with toasted sesame seed,
7. Garnish with diced scallions.
SERVE WITH WHITE RICE OR FRIED RICE.
