After years of trouble starting the machine we finally bought and replaced our battery cables. When attaching the new cable to the starter solenoid it broke the bolt, so we also got to replace the starter solenoid and the starter. The good news is with new battery cables it starts like a breeze. We used to have to jumpstart it every time. Backhoe is a 1998 Ford / New Holland 555E.
