Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the inch and a quarter to two inch hitch adapter. This receiver allows you to convert any inch and a quarter class one and class two receiver to a two inch receiver. That way you can easily haul your two inch hitch accessories even though you have an inch and a quarter hitch on your vehicle. It is made from a durable steel construction and features a black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. The inch and a quarter shank on the unit is solid steel for a very strong durable design and the receiver right here measures two inches by two inches. And this does feature a capacity of 300 pounds when it comes to the tongue weight.
A few measurements I want to mention for you real quick. I took a measurement from the center of this pin hole to the center of this pin hole and got a measurement of 7 and 1/4 inches. From very front to very back measures 11 inches. From the center of this pin hole to the back of the shank measures and inch and half. Now, in order for your accessory to work with this unit, you need to make sure that the shank of your accessory is three and 3/8 of an inch or shorter. And that's because that's the amount of clearance or that's the amount of room we have inside this receiver slot.
So, from the back of this unit to the center of that hitch pin hole internally we have three and 3/8 of an inch, so again, your hitch accessory like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, cannot be more than three and 3/8 inches long from the center of the hitch pin hole on your accessory to the end or to the back of the shank, which is the part that slides into the hitch. Now, if it's longer than three and 3/8 inches, it will not work with this adapter, so please keep that in mind. Your pins and clips or pins and locks are not included. This pin hole right here will accept a standard 5/8 inch diameter pin. If you're in need of one, you can find it at Etrailer.com with part number PC3 that part includes a 5/8 inch diameter pin and a clip. This one back here will accept a 1/2 diameter pin and you can find that on our website with part number PC2 and that part number includes a 1/2 inch diameter pin and it also comes with a clip.
Again, durable, steel construction. Black powder coated finishing. Product is made in the USA. Now, please note, this is not designed for towing, so it's designed for use with bike racks and cargo carriers. That information is printed right here on the sticker on top of the product and the tongue weight capacity of your hitch will be reduced by 50% when using an adapter. That's gonna do it for today's look at the inch and a quarter to two inch hitch adapter..
