To help Unity assess and evaluate the community need and receptivity of a Grief Center initiative, we engaged the professional services of The Karma Group who specialize in marketing strategy, research, and communications. From October 2018 to January 2019, 174 people participated in 21 focus groups.
The staggering research results were shared at Legacy of Hope on November 7 at Backstage in Green Bay. Over a hundred attendees (research participants, donors, community members, employees, and volunteers) heard highlights of the research findings.
Legacy of Hope also showcased the national curated art exhibition Healing Through Creativity, a collection of inspiring, original work by teens who experienced grief. But the most impactful part of Legacy of Hope was the panel discussion of local children and parents served by Unity’s grief support services. The families shared stories about their loved ones, what life was like for them when their loved one died, what life is like for them now and how Generations was instrumental in helping them navigate their grief.
