As the end of April approaches and Spring gets into full swing, many anglers turn their attention to a fish that is synonymous with Spring and early Summer, the Tench. Chapter One of 'Tinca Tales', see us in mid-April, on our first Tench session of the year.
In previous years, we would normally have waited until the beginning of May, but keen to get an early taste of a ‘Tinca’, we set out to a venue that we hadn’t even laid eyes on but is renowned to produce some nice fish.
Will our early venture into the unknown, be rewarded with success, or have we, as is frequently the case, been a little too eager to get that first fish in the net?
