Here’s how you can make Maida Ki Namkeen Shakhe (Savory Maida Twists) in the oven:
Ingredients:
• 1 cup maida (all-purpose flour)
• 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter) or oil
• 1/2 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
• 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder (optional)
• 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
• Water (as needed)
• 1-2 tablespoons oil (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
• In a large mixing bowl, add maida, salt, ajwain, black pepper powder, and red chili powder.
• Add the ghee or oil and mix it with the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
• Gradually add water, a little at a time, and knead into a firm dough. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
