Ingredients

For the Filling:

2 tbsp butter

7-8 apples (4 pounds) 2 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Pinch of salt

1 tbsp cinnamon

1/2 tbsp pumpkin spice

1 tsp lemon zest

1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch+2 tbsp water

For the Egg Wash:

1 egg

1 tbsp milk

For the Top:

2 tbsp sugar

For the Sweet Vanilla Sauce:

1/2 cup milk

3/4 cup heavy cream

3 tbsp granulated sugar

2 egg yolks

1 tsp cornstarch

1 tsp vanilla bean or vanilla extract
