Step into the future of cattle farming at the Texas A&M University Beef Center, where precision livestock farming (PLF) is revolutionizing the industry. This 3D model showcases a state-of-the-art pen, designed to optimize cattle health, welfare, and productivity through cutting-edge technology.

PLF utilizes an array of sensors and advanced data analytics to monitor every aspect of livestock management, from feed intake to health indicators, ensuring that each animal receives individualized care. By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, farmers can make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance efficiency and sustainability.

At the heart of this transformation is the integration of IoT devices and machine learning algorithms, which provide real-time insights into cattle behavior and environmental conditions. This allows for early detection of health issues, minimizing disease spread and improving overall herd health. The Texas A&M Beef Center is a hub of innovation, where researchers and students collaborate to push the boundaries of livestock management, ensuring that the beef industry meets the demands of a growing global population.

The 3D structure was built procedurally, using a parametric design approach that allows for flexibility. Key parameters such as dimensions, structural elements, and layout were defined to create the structure in a modular way, enabling adjustments to individual aspects of the model, like size or arrangement, without rebuilding the entire design.

This project is funded by USDA-National Institute of Food And Agriculture (NIFA) program.
