Step 2 of How to Use a Stun Gun: Grip & Test
It’s smart to practice removing your stun gun regularly from the holster or purse so that you’re familiar with how you’d situate yourself and are better prepared in a moment of danger. First, take a look at your stun gun. Know that the shock probes discharge the electric shock. We recommend a test fire from a ½ to one-second burst; that should be all you need to ensure the product functions. Use caution with this test fire because anything longer than a full second burst could potentially damage the product or void your warranty. Depending on the model, you can also activate the flashlight with a switch or a button.
