Uluru Ayers Rock 4k 🇦🇺 Areal View OUTBACK - KATA TJUTA - THE OLGAS - The PINNACLES Piano Music
Uluru or Ayers Rock is a huge sandstone monolith in the middle of the dry "Red Center" in the Australian state of Northern Territory, it rises approx. 350 m above its surrounding area.
Because of its spiritual relevance for the dreamtime stories, it is considered a sacred mountain by the local Aborigines, the Anangu. Because it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year as one of Australia's most famous landmarks, there is a conflict of interest between Anangu and tourists in which the Aborigines have enforced a ban on climbing the mountain from October 26, 2019.
The Uluru is located in the Uluṟu-Kata-Tjuṯa National Park near the place Yulara, about 340 km as the crow flies southwest of Alice Springs in the southwest of the Australian federal territory of Northern Territory. The 1325 km² large national park, in which the Uluru and the neighboring Kata Tjuṯa ("the Olgas") are located, is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
The Uluru is about 3 km long, up to 2 km wide and has a circumference of about 9 km at the base. The summit is at an absolute height of 863 m. So it rises 348 m [1] over the dune landscape of Australian Outback.
The Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas) are a group of 36 mountains in central Australian Outback, about 51 kilometers from the town of Yulara. Together with Uluṟu (Ayers Rock), 30 kilometers away, they are enclosed by the Uluṟu-Kata-Tjuṯa National Park. The highest rock at 1069 meters, Mount Olga, protrudes 564 meters from the area.
The only paved road that leads to Uluru is the Lasseter Highway. This connects the mountain via the Stuart Highway with Alice Springs (470 km) and thus the rest of Australia. In addition, the Luritja Road branches off from him to Kings Canyon, which is also paved. At the Kata Tjuṯa, about 30 km west of Uluru as the crow flies, the Lasseter Highway turns into the Great Central Road, an unpaved outback track that leads to Laverton in central Western Australia.
Australian regions that are far from civilization are referred to as the Australian outback. It covers almost three quarters of the area of Australia and extends mainly over the Northern Territory
