Given that Windows 95 had turned 20-years-old recently, I felt like creating a video dedicated to its anniversary. It was such a crucial OS to the Windows timeline, as it introduced the style of UI that Windows still stems off of to this day with Windows 10. It surely deserves some respect for that. So that's why I made this restoration of Windows 95's kick-starter commercial "Start Me Up", which first aired in 1995. I have restored the color, removed some compression artifacts, smoothed out the frame-rate, restored the sound, restored the black/white levels, and other various touch-ups. This took around 4-hours, which is not much time at all compared to my typical editing sessions. It was all worth it, especially because Windows 95 was the first OS I've ever used. :)

I would also like to note that I am not affiliated with Microsoft; I do not own the commercial, nor do I own the sounds or Windows logo shown in this video itself. Windows is fully-owned by Microsoft and Microsoft only. The music in this video is fully-owned by The Rolling Stones. Similar to all of my other videos, I will not monetize this in any way possible, nor will I receive any profit off of it. I don't believe in making money off of my own hobby and dedication.
