About El Patio de Glòria
Just steps away from the chic and leafy Passeig del Born in the centre of Mallorca's capital, Palma de Mallorca, a narrow cobblestone camino leads to the door of the restaurant, El Patio de Glòria. Tucked on the ground floor of the boutique Hotel Glòria de Sant Jaume, it was a "passion project" for hoteliers Jordi Cabau and Heidi Wolf who painstakingly renovated the Mallorcan mansion into a 14-room hotel.
The restaurant doors are just beyond the lobby of the hotel. El Patio de Glòria's interior decor is Parisian-inspired and eclectic, festooned with wood wainscotting, velvet jewel-toned modern furnishings, herringbone floors and fresh flowers. Beyond the dining room is a shady inner courtyard for intimate alfresco dining in the spring and summer. The bar of El Patio de Glòria is a cosmopolitan snug with decorative metal fittings from the Belle Epoque period and a sophisticated wine and cocktail list.
Seasonal fare and fine wines
El Patio de Glòria in Palma serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with snacks and coffee available throughout the day. If you are looking for a centrally located place to meet for an afternoon tea or early evening cocktail, the bar and the patio are intimate and tranquil. A discriminating wine list selected by the hotel's owners features difficult-to-procure champagne Billecarte-Salmon Rosé, alongside reasonably priced red wines from the island. El Patio de Glòria's cocktails are classic and original, using fresh ingredients and Mallorcan liquors. A fine dining dinner experience is served with a keen approach to traditional Mallorcan comfort fare, using locally sourced fresh ingredients in their seasonally influenced menu. For those with dietary restrictions, they have vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free recommendations. The restaurant will also accommodate large groups for events.
