Encephalocele is a type of neural tube disorder where the part of the brain and it's membranes herniates through an opening in the skull.
It is one of the type of neural tube defect that affects many children
Causes of encephalocele includes:
1) Genetics
2) Folic acid and vit b deficiency in the first month of conception
Effect of alcohol and smoking during pregnancy on the incidence of encephalocele.
Sign and symptoms of encephalocele:
1)neurological problem
2)development delay
3)mental retardation
4)spastic quadriplegia
5)blindness
6)microcephaly

3) CT Scan
