The 40.2mm platinum case of the Patek Philippe 5204P is wearable on small wrists; it spans only 47mm lug-to-lug. The case includes one brilliant cut diamond between the lugs at six o'clock; this is a style signature of modern Patek Philippe watches. Rectangular chronograph pushers and a crown with co-axial rattrapante trigger sit on the case flank.

For the 175th anniversary of Patek Philippe in 2014, this 5204P was released as an application piece for the brand's favored collectors. A matte black dial includes matching black discs for the day and the month; a radial date display and moonphase disc are co-axial at six o'clock. The chronograph includes registers for hours, minutes, and split seconds.

Inside its platinum case, this Patek Philippe 5204 is powered by the manufacture caliber 29 535 PS Q. The manual wind movement includes a 65-hour power reserve, beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and an overcoil hairspring on a Gyromax free sprung balance. The movement is adjusted in six positions, includes a fully jeweled lateral clutch, and a two column wheels to operate the rattrapante chronograph functions.

The Patek Philippe 5204P is water resistant to 30 meters, and its dial includes super luminova for visibility at night.
